Correction Policy In Lucknow
In Lucknow (hereinafter referred to as "In Lucknow" / "We" / "Us" / "Our") is committed to providing accurate and complete information to our readers. If incorrect information is published on our website, we take prompt corrective measures and inform our readers about the update.
Purpose
In Lucknow strives to publish accurate and up-to-date articles based on the information available at the time of publication. If any errors are identified, we promptly correct them on our website. Additionally, we may issue corrections or clarifications on our social media accounts or include an "Editor's Note" in the article to clearly explain the update.
Updating a Report
If an article is updated, we make it a practice to add a note. When correcting significant errors, we use a correction, clarification, or editor’s note to inform our readers. If an error is found in our fact-checking process (conducted in accordance with our Fact-Check Policy), we will update the article and include "[Correction: Updated Information...]" in bold at the top, detailing the correction.
Corrections
If an article, photo caption, headline, graphic, video, or any other material requires a substantive correction, we promptly publish a correction and clarify what changes have been made.
Clarifications
If our content is factually accurate but requires clearer language or additional context, we rewrite the language and add a clarification to the story. A clarification is also used when we initially missed obtaining a comment or response, which has since been added.
Editor’s Notes
If the credibility of an article is questioned or if a significant ethical issue arises, an editor’s note may be required. In such cases, a senior editor will approve the addition of an editor’s note, providing a detailed explanation of the issue.
Reader-Initiated Corrections
If a reader identifies an error and shares it in the comment section, our community engagement team will acknowledge and correct it. If errors are posted on our social media platforms, we also issue corrections or retract the incorrect information if it cannot be modified.
Reporting Inaccuracies
If you believe a story published by us is inaccurate, please reach out to our editorial team via the "Suggest a Correction" section at the end of every article. Alternatively, you can email us at inlucknow.org@gmail.com with the correction details.
Take-Down Requests
As part of our editorial policy, we generally do not entertain take-down requests. If an article is claimed to be inaccurate, we are open to investigation and will publish corrections if needed. We may update or follow up on previous content when fairness requires it, but we refrain from removing it entirely.
